How we started!
Growing up we never had money, sometimes even getting food was a struggle. For so many years we slept on the floor due to lack of beds. We had to walk for miles every day with no shoes, just to fetch water. In my home, things like power, TV, a phone or any kind of electronics in our house were just a dream. Going to school was always a challenge because it was too far away and when we made it to school, we would get sent back home for school fees that we did not even have.
This is how I grew up; this was everyday life for me. It wasn’t until I got to go to America that I started realizing that there were people out there who lived a totally different life than what I was used to. In 2012 God connected me to really sweet family in America who gave me a chance to a good education, and I was able to get a degree and a great job that I love. This was my motivation to help other kids who now have the life that I used to have. I knew that even though I couldn’t help every one of them, I was going to try to help as many of them as I can.
So I along with my friends and family decided to Afaayo mission international. The Goal for Afaayo is to provide people with opportunities to have a much better life than what they are having. We want to share the Love of our Lord Jesus Christ with the lost and dying world through our work. We have set up different ways to reach people of all ages, all tribes, and all nations with one message; Jesus cares for You. My Hope and prayer is that you would join us in any way you can so that we can be able to help those in need. “ We know that we cannot help everyone, but if everyone who can, helps someone, we just might end up helping everyone”.
